Student Only Buses in Cornwall

From 1st September there will be a number of temporary changes to Cornwall Council supported bus services. This is to ensure that adequate seating capacity is provided for school children.

Extra capacity has also been deployed to duplicate trips, meaning local buses can still be used by the general public, with students being picked up by additional buses and coaches.

Taking into account the social distancing requirements in place on public transport, this will require temporarily designating some bus journeys as being for Student Travel Only. Therefore these trips or parts of trips will not be available to the general public for travel.

The routes and journeys affected can be found on the link below.  They will be subject to regular update should further changes to the network be required:

Callywith College Buses

In addition to the above list, our Callywith College buses will also not be available to the general public for travel. These are services 171, 172, 174, 176, 177, 178, 179, 180, 181, 182, 186, 187, 188, 189 and a journey on service 10.

Where to find more information

We are currently working on new timetables for each affected service, highlighting what sections will be run as ‘Student Only’. These will then be uploaded to the Transport for Cornwall website.

Buses will show their normal route number on the destination blind, but on the bottom part of the blind will say ‘Student Only’.
