Looking Out for Each Other on the Bus - Our Common Courtesy Campaign
1 week ago
Go Cornwall Bus has launched a new Common Courtesy campaign following customer feedback about how on board reminders could help make bus journeys more comfortable for everyone.
The campaign has been developed directly in response to what passengers have told us, including requests for clearer signage, particularly on our new electric buses, to support a more relaxed and welcoming travel environment.
Common Courtesy focuses on a small number of simple, everyday actions that customers said would help improve their experience on board. These friendly reminders include:
Bags do not need a seat. Keeping bags on your lap or on the floor helps make space for others.
Feet off the seats. Helping keep seats clean means they are ready for the next passenger.
Your safety is our priority. Passengers are reminded not to stand on the upper deck or on the stairs while the bus is moving.
Take the vape off the bus. E cigarettes and vapes are not permitted on board.
Paws on floors. Dogs are welcome but should remain on the floor and be kept on a lead so everyone feels comfortable.
The messages are being rolled out across the Go Cornwall Bus network through on board posters, digital displays and social media, reflecting the feedback we received from customers and the issues they told us matter most.
Jason Beverley from Go Cornwall Bus said:
“We are always listening to our customers, and this campaign is a direct response to what they have told us. Simple reminders, like making space for others or keeping buses clean, can really improve how journeys feel. Common Courtesy is about working together to make bus travel across Cornwall the best it can be.”
With millions of journeys made every year, Go Cornwall Bus hopes the Common Courtesy campaign shows how customer feedback helps shape improvements across the network and supports a more enjoyable experience for everyone who travels by bus.
