3rd - 5th July

This summer, Mousehole’s much-loved Sea, Salts & Sail Maritime Festival returns to the harbour to celebrate its 30th anniversary. What began as a small one-day event in 1996 has grown into one of Cornwall’s most distinctive maritime festivals.

Run entirely by volunteers, the festival celebrates Cornwall’s rich seafaring heritage, with traditionally rigged boats gathering in the stunning backdrop of Mousehole Harbour and Mount’s Bay.

Alongside the boats, visitors can enjoy live music, from folk and sea shanties to jazz and swing, plus seafood, chef demos, exhibitions, heritage walks and family activities including storytelling and cork boat racing.

This year also features Newlyn artist Vicki Norman, whose maritime artwork captures Cornwall’s coastal spirit.

Free to attend, the festival relies on community support, so pick up a programme or enjoy food, drink and merchandise to help keep it going.

Join us this July to celebrate 30 years of maritime heritage, community and unforgettable moments by the sea.

Open from 12 noon on Friday, closing early evening on Sunday.
