21, 21A, 22, 22A, 27, 28, 31, 51, 271, 272 - Changes to routes in St Austell from 22nd June
From the 22nd June 2026, Trinity Street in St Austell is becoming a one-way system for 18 months due to a large scaffolding setup on the side of the White River Shopping Centre.
As a result, there will be changes to services 21, 21A, 22, 22A, 27, 51, 271 and 272 towards St Austell.
The bus stops towards St Austell Bus Station at Four Turnings and White River Cinema (cinema side of the road) will not be served. Buses towards St Austell will divert via Penwinnick Road and South Street.
Passengers wishing to travel to the town centre from Four Turnings should use the bus stop at St Austell Milestone, which will continue to be served by the 27, 51, 271, and 272 towards St Austell.
Passengers wishing to travel towards the town centre should instead alight at South Street.
Buses leaving St Austell Bus Station towards Truro, Newquay, or Veryan are unaffected by the one-way system and will continue to operate their normal route stopping opposite White River Cinema and Four Turnings.
As well as this, services 28 and 31 leaving St Austell towards Lostwithiel or Luxulyan will start at South Street instead of White River Cinema.

Stop Suspensions in Saltash

Due to roadworks obstructing the bus stops, the stops at St Annes on Callington Road in Saltash will be suspended on 24th and 25th August 2026. Please use alternative stops down the hill to the west at Callington Road or Callington Road Football Stadium.

40 - Road Closures - Crofthandy 09:30 - 15:30

Due to two road closures between Carharrack and Crofthandy & Crofthandy and Todpool, between 09:30 and 15:30 from 24/08/2026 to 28/08/2026 service 40 will be unable to serve stops at Crofthandy Bus Shelter.
Buses will divert via United Road between Carharrack and Crofthandy, and past Crofthandy Village Hall and B3298 between Crofthandy and Todpool.
Please use alternative bus stops at the Village Hall in Crofthandy.

481-482 Reinstatement of bus services to Polruan Quay

We are pleased to confirm that following completion of new parking restrictions in conjunction with Cornwall Council bus services 481 and 482 will return to Polruan Quay from Friday 21st August.

Diversion on route 483 - St Clements Hill Emergency Closure

Due to the emergency closure of St Clements Hill, service 483 Trelander Circular is currently operating a modified route.
Buses will go up Trelander Highway, turn around and come back down Trelander Highway.
Buses are still unable to serve the stops at Old Police Station, Chirgwin Road or St Clements Park on St Clements Hill.

Unable to serve stop at Harleigh Vets

Due to 4 way traffic lights obstructing the bus stop we are currently unable to serve the bus stop at Harleigh Vets in Bodmin. Please use an alternative stop at Bodmin General Station.

Due to a road closure between Pulla Cross and the Gwennap junction, from 10/08/2026 to 05/10/2026 service 36A will divert back through Perranwell between Pulla Cross, Frogpool and Pelean Cross.
Service 36A will be unable to serve Burncoose Nurseries. If waiting at Pelean Cross, please use the Postbox stop.

481-482 Customer information from 10th August 2026

Due to ongoing safety concerns caused by parking issues leading to buses being unable to turn around safely at Polruan Quay and in some cases having to reverse back up the hill out of the village, Go Cornwall Bus and Cornwall Council have been forced to take the difficult action in the interests of safety to suspend using Polruan Quay stop for the remaining duration of the summer holiday period. Buses will operate to and from Greenbank stop at the top of the hill with immediate effect from 10th August until further notice.

Customers wishing to connect to the 73 and 73A at Liskeard bus station can do so by staying on the 74 which continues from Barras Street (Post office) to Liskeard bus station.
4, 4B - Road Closure - B3312 Madron

Due to a road closure in Madron, from 27/07/2026 to 02/09/2026 buses will be unable to serve the stop at Poltair Terrace.
Buses will divert on Boscathnoe Way in both directions. Please use alternative stops at Parc Letta.

Passengers in Mawgan Porth should use stops at Betty's Shop as we are unable to serve the stop at the Pitch and Putt.

Services 3, 32, 32A, 33, 69A will divert via Commercial Road, Browns Hill in both directions and will also be unable to serve Penryn Railway Station
Service 69 will divert on Commercial Road to Truro Hill in both directions and will also be unable to serve Penryn Railway Station or Browns Hill
Service 42 will divert on Commercial Road, Browns Hill and Station Road in both directions.
Bus stops at or opposite the bus shelter on Commercial Road can be used as alternative stops during this closure.

Your closest alternative stops are on Mount Wise or at Kilbirnie Hotel / opposite Barrowfield Hotel
Services 59, 85, 87, 88, 93, 277 towards Newquay Bus Station will additionally be unable to serve stops at Trenance Gardens, Newquay Zoo, Hilgrove Road or Barrowfield Hotel
To travel into Newquay from these stops, please use the stop on the other side of the road and use diverted services 21, 21A, 56, 91, 92, 92A, 92B, 92S, 93A, 93T
