A30 Overnight Diversion Update 30/04/2026

A30 DIVERSION UPDATE 30/04/2026
From 20:00 this evening the A30 will be closed from Newtown to St Erth.
Access arrangements for tonight 30/04 are as follows:
Service 17 will operate as usual tonight
Service 18 will operate the same route as the 17 in Crowlas, going around Chy-an-gweal, the only stop missed will be the stops by Ludgvan Leaze
Arrangements for Friday 01/05 are yet to be confirmed by National Highways.
There will be no works in the evening on Monday 04/05 due to the bank holiday. Buses will operate normal route on Monday.
Diversion on the 49

We're sorry to inform #GCB49 is unable to serve Pengegon due to a level crossing failure. Services will divert via Kerreir Way & The Blue Bridge in both directions until further notice. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Change of service on the 73 & 73A
There is a change of service on the 73 & 73A because of a road closure.
Buses will be unable to serve Liskeard Railway Station or St Keyne until further notice because of works by Openreach.
Buses will be diverting from Liskeard, via Dobwalls to get to Duloe

Emergency Road Closure - Lynstone
Due to an emergency road closure for South West Water repairs in Lynstone, service 95 and 95A are currently unable to serve Bude Valley View, Lynstone, Widemouth Bay Beach House Hotel, or Widemouth Bay Toilets.
Buses will divert on Leverlake Road between Widemouth Bay and Bude until further notice.

Emergency Closure - Crofthandy
Due to an emergency road closure on the road from Crofthandy bus shelter to St Day crossroads, services 40, 40A, 40B and 282 will be unable to serve Skyber Vean or Crofthandy Village Hall.
Service 40 and 282 will divert on the road past the stables between Carharrack and Crofthandy.
Service 40A and 40B will divert past Triplet Business Park between Crofthandy and St Day.

Road Closed: Trevenson Road, Pool 19:00 - 06:00

Due to a one-way overnight road closure on Trevenson Road in Pool, between 19:00 and 06:00 from 27/04/2026 - 01/05/2026 services 14 and 18 towards Redruth & Truro will be unable to serve Pool Mcdonalds or Pool Cornwall College.
Buses towards Redruth & Truro will divert via Dudnance Lane and Station Road.
Buses towards Camborne & Pennzance/St Ives are unaffected.
Please use alternative stops on Dudnance Lane or Fore Street.

Road Closure - Middleway - Affects evening 24 and 24S
Due to a road closure on Middleway between Old Roselyon Road and the A390, from 27/04/2026 to 01/05/2026 the evening journeys on service 24 will be unable to serve stops at St Blazey Playing Field, Landreath Steps, Polgrean Place, Football Club or Station Road.
Evening journeys on service 24 and will divert past Middleway Coop between Old Roselyon Road and St Blazey Road.
Please use alternative stops at Landreath Place or Middleway Coop.
Service 24S will turn at Middleway Coop and operate via Station Road and Rose Hill between Coop and Doubletrees, and is unable to serve Landreath Place or Playing Field.

Overnight Road Closure - A30 St Erth to Newtown
Due to the overnight closure of the A30 between St Erth and Newtown,
- between 20:00 and 06:00
- on Monday to Friday nights
- from 27/04/2026 to 30/05/2026,
There will be a variety of diversions to services 17 and 18 in the evening. Closure sections are changing day by day, check daily messages on services 17 and 18 for updates.
Please expect potential delays to services due to the length of some of the diversion routes. On some nights we will not be able to serve any stops between Crowlas and St Erth Interchange.

North Street, Redruth Sinkhole
Due to a sinkhole on North Street, Redruth, until further notice service 48 will divert past Redruth Tesco and on the A3047 dual carriageway between Redruth and Avers Roundabout in both directions. Passengers for stops on Close Hill should use the bus stop at Tesco.
The 282 will be unable to serve Redruth Ambulance Station or Plain-an-gwarry, and will divert via Montague Avenue and Pond Lane.

Road Closure - Dolcoath Road

Due to a road closure on Dolcoath Road, from 07/04/2026 - 06/05/2026 services 48, 49, 49A will be unable to serve Dolcoath Road or Dolcoath Avenue.
Buses will stay on Kerrier Way between Pool and Lower Pengegon.
Please use alternative stops at Laity Fields for the 48, 49, 49A
Alternatively you can use stops at Roskear School for alternative services to Camborne or Pool, Redruth and Truro on the 14/18.

GCB56 - St Mawgan Village

Due to ongoing scaffolding, we are unable to serve St Mawgan Village until further notice. Services towards Padstow will turn around at Carloggas Farm Lane towards Trevarrian & Mawgan Porth. Services towards Newquay will divert from Mawgan Porth, Trevarrian & Carloggas Farm Lane. We apologise for any inconvenience caused, but to circumstances beyond our control.
36 42: Road Closure - Hendra Road, Stithians
Due to an ongoing emergency road closure, buses will divert between Stithians and Penmarth.
On services 36 and 42 we will be unable to serve stops at Hendra Close, Goonlaze and the Golden Lion in both directions.
The 36 from Truro via Penmarth for Helston School is unable to serve Hendra Road, The Golden Lion, or Carnkie Phone box and will divert via Stithians Shop, Carnkie Ashanti (Gravel Pits), Penmarth towards Halwin. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Introducing 49B temporary shuttle service between Troon and Camborne

Due to the ongoing Sink Hole situation affecting 49 services between Camborne and Troon a new shuttle service 49B will begin operation from 7th February 2026 until further notice.

Overnight Sliproad Closure - Moorswater Eastbound exit slip from 20:00
Due to the overnight closure of the Moorswater eastbound exit sliproad, between 20:00 and 06:00 on 1st, 5th, 7th, 9th, 14th & 15th May, service 11 towards Plymouth and the last service 57 towards Liskeard will be unable to serve Liskeard Gipsy Lane or Dean Street.
Buses will come off at Island Shop to head towards Liskeard Town Centre.
Buses towards Dobwalls are unaffected.

Road Closure - Saltash May Fair
Due to the Saltash May Fair, from 06:30 - 19:00 on 02/05/2026 buses will be unable to serve Fore Street or Callington Road in Saltash.
Services 10, 11, 12, 71 will divert on North Road and New Road between in both directions. Please use alternative stops on North Road or New Road.

Overnight Road Closure - Lower Pengegon 19:00 - 06:00

Buses will divert on Foundry Road over the blue bridge between Dolcoath Avenue and Meneth Road. Please use alternative stops at Carn Avenue.

Road Closure - West End, Goldsithney
Due to the closure of West End, Goldsithney, from 04/05/2026 to 06/05/2026 services will be unable to serve stops at St Aubyns, Queen Street or The Crown Inn in Goldsithney. Services will instead only serve the bus shelter at St Pirans Hall.
Service 2, 2A and 382 will be unable to serve Perran Downs. Please use service 39A as an alternative.

Road Closure - Station Road, Penryn 09:30 - 16:00
Due to a road closure on Station Road, Penryn, between 09:30 and 16:00 on weekdays from 05/05/2026 to 11/05/2026, there will be diversions on services leaving Falmouth.
Services 3, 32, 32A, 33 leaving Falmouth will be unable to serve stops at Penryn Railway Station, opposite Harbour View, or opposite Packsaddle Estate. Buses will divert via Kernick Road and the A39 between Penryn Campus / Treliever Roundabout (32).
Service 69 towards Mylor will be unable to serve stops at Penryn Station, and will divert via Green Lane, Greenwood Crescent and Blowinghouse Garage between Helston Road and Browns Hill.
Service 69A towards Asda will be unable to serve stops at Penryn Station, Blowinghouse Garage, Greenwood Road, Green Lane, and will divert from Helston Road up part of Green Lane, then left down Polwithen Road.
Any passengers wishing to travel from Falmouth to Green Lane/Greenwood Road should instead use service 69 during this closure.
Any passengers wishing to travel from Greenwood Road and Green Lane towards Asda should instead use stops on Polwithen Road.
Any passengers wishing to travel from Falmouth to Packsaddle Estate can catch service 3, 32A or 33 to Penryn Campus then change onto a 3, 32A or 33 towards Falmouth.
Service 42 towards Falmouth will be unable to serve Penryn Station and will divert via Greenwood Road between Kernick Road and Harbour View.
All other buses towards Falmouth are unaffected.

Due to the overnight road closure of the level crossing on North Way, Quintrell Downs, from 22:00 on 11/05/2026 to 06:00 on 12/05/2026 service 21 will be unable to serve stops at Nansledan School or North Way.
