21, 21A, 22, 22A, 27, 28, 31, 51, - Changes to routes in St Austell from 22nd June
From the 22nd June 2026, Trinity Street in St Austell is becoming a one-way system for 18 months due to a large scaffolding setup on the side of the White River Shopping Centre.
As a result, there will be changes to services 21, 21A, 22, 22A, 27, 51 towards St Austell.
The bus stops towards St Austell Bus Station at Four Turnings and White River Cinema (cinema side of the road) will not be served. Buses towards St Austell will divert via Penwinnick Road and South Street.
Passengers wishing to travel to the town centre from Four Turnings should use the bus stop at St Austell Milestone, which will continue to be served by the 27 and 51 towards St Austell.
Passengers wishing to travel towards the town centre should instead alight at South Street.
Buses leaving St Austell Bus Station towards Truro, Newquay, or Veryan are unaffected by the one-way system and will continue to operate their normal route stopping opposite White River Cinema and Four Turnings.
As well as this, services 28 and 31 leaving St Austell towards Lostwithiel or Luxulyan will start at South Street instead of White River Cinema.

Due to the overnight closure of West End, Penryn Street and Station Hill for Cormac resurfacing works, there will be diversions to Redruth services after 19:00 each evening on Thursday 1st November, Sunday 4th November, Monday 5th November.
Between these times all departures in both directions on services 14, 18, 33, 34, 40, 40A, 48, 49 will depart from outside Redruth Railway Station on the downhill stop.

Update 29th September: These works have been reduced to 3 days from 07/10 to 09/10
Due to a road closure for Cormac works between St Dennis and Highgate, from 07/10/2026 to 09/10/2026 most journeys on service 21 will be unable to serve St Dennis, Nanpean and Foxhole.
Buses will divert via Summercourt and St Stephen between Kingsley Village and High Street, following the 21A route.
To travel between St Dennis, Nanpean, Foxhole and Newquay customers are advised to use service 22/22A and change onto a diverted 21/21A in St Stephen or High Street
School journeys to/from Tretherras School and Poltair School will still serve St Dennis, Nanpean and Foxhole but will divert via Victoria between St Dennis and Kingsley Village.

The 07:10 departure towards St Austell will serve all stops until Kingley Village 15 minutes earlier than current, and the 06:59 departure towards Newquay will serve all stops until St Dennis Surgery 14 minutes earlier than current.
