Penzance bus station refurbishment – October 2025
We’ll be refurbishing Penzance bus station in October to improve safety for passengers and people walking around the station area and to repair the bus bays.
The bus station will remain open as usual; however, over the next three months the bus bays will be out of action while work is underway to repair and reinforce them.
During this time buses will arrive and depart from Albert Pier.
Traffic lights will also be in place on Albert Pier while the new crossings and tactile surfaces are installed and the roads around the station resurfaced.
If you’re travelling to or from the station please leave extra time for your journey and if you have any queries when you’re at the station, staff will be on hand to help you find your bus.
Bus stop changes at East Hill and Pendarves Street, Tuckingmill, Camborne – October 2025
We will shortly begin work to move three bus stops in Tuckingmill to improve pedestrian safety and help traffic flows.
The two bus stops at East Hill will move slightly further back from the crossroads to improve journey reliability through East Hill junction. Upgrades to existing pedestrian crossings will improve access around the mini roundabout junction of Trevenson Road, Camborne Retail Park and McDonalds.
Meanwhile on Pendarves Street, the bus stop for buses heading towards Pool will move back from the crossroads at the bottom of East Hill to help improve visibility at the junction and help improve the reliability of bus journey times.
