Cornwall bus network improvements from 26th July 2026

From 26th July 2026, a series of service changes will be introduced. These updates will take place earlier than the usual September service review, giving passengers more time to plan ahead. The changes are in addition to the previously announced summer service enhancements.

Many of these improvements have been made directly in response to customer feedback, particularly regarding service timings and route coverage. Our aim is to better meet the needs of passengers and improve overall journey experience.

2 / 2A	Go Cornwall Bus	Penzance - Helston - Mullion School (2A)	In Helston the service will be amended to start/finish at Coinagehall Street with most journeys continuing as Service 3 to Falmouth. Within Goldsithney journeys to/from Helston will operate via South Road instead of Perran Downs. Short journeys between Goldsithney and Penzance will continue to serve Perran Downs and additionally serve Perranuthnoe. These changes are in response to local feedback.
2	Stagecoach South West	Saltash – Plymouth	No changes expected.
3	Go Cornwall Bus	Helston - Tremough Campus - Falmouth	In Helston the service will be amended to start/finish at Coinagehall Street with most journeys continuing as Service 2 to Penzance. Timetable amended to improve reliability.
4/4A/4B	Go Cornwall Bus	Penzance - St Just - Pendeen	Timetable amended following customer feedback. Evening & Sunday journeys renumbered 4B.
6 GCB	Go Cornwall Bus	Penzance - Mousehole	Route and timetable amended to serve West Cornwall Hospital. On Sundays and Bank Holidays the service will operate 30 minutes earlier throughout the day following customer feedback.
6 SC	Stagecoach South West	Bude – Okehampton (for onwards bus or rail connections to Exeter)	No changes expected.
8	Go Cornwall Bus	Penzance – St Just via Sancreed	No changes expected.
10	Go Cornwall Bus	Plymouth – Looe – Polperro	Revised route in Plymouth City Centre to serve new Health Hub. On Sundays and Bank Holidays the route will be revised to match Monday to Saturday. During the Summer School Holidays additional journeys will operate between Tregoad and Polperro.
11	Go Cornwall Bus	Dobwalls– Liskeard – Plymouth	Revised route in Plymouth City Centre to serve new Health Hub. Revised timetable on all days to additionally serve the new Liskeard Bus Station.
12/12A	Go Cornwall Bus	Plymouth – St Dominick (12A) – Callington	Revised route in Plymouth City Centre to serve new Health Hub.
14/18	Go Cornwall Bus	St Ives (14) / Penzance (18) - Camborne - Redruth - Truro	Revised timetable to improve reliability.
15	Go Cornwall Bus	Gwithian – Hayle Town – St Erth – Penzance	Revised route and timetable to improve reliability, some journeys will run the opposite direction around Queensway in Hayle.
16/16A	Go Cornwall Bus	Penzance – Nancleadra (16) / Zennor (16A) – St Ives	The 16A starting from Halsetown at 0739 will start from Carbis Bay to provide additional peak time capacity towards Penzance.

Revised routing on journeys into St Austell due to works in Trinity Street (Started 22nd June). Further revisions to route between Nanpean and High Street from 27th July to 24th August due to road closure in Nanpean.

26A	Go Cornwall Bus	St Austell - Eden Project	New service during Summer School Holidays to replace service 26 between St Austell and Eden Project. At other times service 28 has sufficient capacity to meet demand for travel to the Eden Project.
27	Go Cornwall Bus	Truro – St Austell	Revised timetable to improve connections with service 26 at St Austell.
