Kids Go Free This August

This August, children between the ages of 5-15 years old can travel free on bus services, thanks to the UK Government's Great British Summer Savings initiative.

From 1st August to 31st August (inclusive), families can enjoy free bus travel for children across our networks, making it easier and more affordable to get out and explore everything Devon and Cornwall have to offer.

Whether you're heading to the beach, visiting family, enjoying a day in the city, or discovering somewhere new, leave the car behind and let us take you there.

Helping families save this summer

School holidays can be an expensive time for families, with the cost of days out adding up before you've even arrived. By removing fares for children throughout August, we're helping families save money and enjoy more time together.

So, take advantage of free travel to visit attractions, parks, shopping destinations, beaches, cinemas and museums.

Great British Summer Savings

The Government's Great British Summer Savings campaign is helping families make the most of summer.

Alongside free bus travel for children, families can also benefit from reduced VAT on selected attractions, including soft play centres, amusement parks and museums, helping make summer days out even more affordable.

Terms and Conditions

• Offer valid from 1st August to 31st August (inclusive).
• Free travel is available for children aged 5–15 (up until their 16th birthday) on all registered Plymouth Citybus,  Go Cornwall Bus and Dartline Bus services.
• Children under 5 already travel free all year round.
• Children under 11 must be accompanied by a fare-paying adult or an adult travelling with a valid concessionary bus pass.
• Children may be asked to provide proof of age where appropriate.
• The offer applies only during the promotional period and is funded by the UK Government as part of the Great British Summer Savings initiative.
• Free tickets can only be issued on the bus the same day as you travel for every single journey.
• Normal Conditions of Carriage apply.
• If you're 16–18, please continue to buy a child ticket when you travel.

This is a local bus offer, which excludes Truro Park and Ride, Argyle services, Dartline Park and Ride.
