21, 21A, 22, 22A, 27, 28, 31, 51, 271, 272 - Changes to routes in St Austell from 22nd June

22nd Jun 2026 onwards

From the 22nd June 2026, Trinity Street in St Austell is becoming a one-way system for 18 months due to a large scaffolding setup on the side of the White River Shopping Centre.

As a result, there will be changes to services 21, 21A, 22, 22A, 27, 51, 271 and 272 towards St Austell.

The bus stops towards St Austell Bus Station at Four Turnings and White River Cinema (cinema side of the road) will not be served. Buses towards St Austell will divert via Penwinnick Road and South Street.

Passengers wishing to travel to the town centre from Four Turnings should use the bus stop at St Austell Milestone, which will continue to be served by the 27, 51, 271, and 272 towards St Austell.

Passengers wishing to travel towards the town centre should instead alight at South Street.

Buses leaving St Austell Bus Station towards Truro, Newquay, or Veryan are unaffected by the one-way system and will continue to operate their normal route stopping opposite White River Cinema and Four Turnings.

As well as this, services 28 and 31 leaving St Austell towards Lostwithiel or Luxulyan will start at South Street instead of White River Cinema.

36A - Road Closure - Pulla Cross to Gwennap Turning

10th Aug 2026 - 5th Oct 2026

Due to a road closure between Pulla Cross and the Gwennap junction, from 10/08/2026 to 05/10/2026 service 36A will divert back through Perranwell between Pulla Cross, Frogpool and Pelean Cross.

Service 36A will be unable to serve Burncoose Nurseries. If waiting at Pelean Cross, please use the Postbox stop.

40 (previously the 46, 46A) - Road Closure - Moorfield Road 07:30 - 17:00

3rd Aug 2026 - 3rd Sep 2026

Updated: This road closure has been extended to the 3rd September 2026

Due to a road closure on Moorfield Road, between 07:30 and 17:00 on weekdays from 03/08/2026 to 03/09/2026 service 40 (previously the 46, 46A) will be unable to serve stops on Moorfield Road or Balkin Way.

Buses will divert via Park Bottom and Trevelyan Road between Pool School and Illogan.

Please use alternative stops at Pool School or Higher Broad Lane.

Changes to routes towards Newquay Bus Station from 4th September

27th Aug 2026 - 31st Mar 2027

Due to the implementation of a one-way system on Cliff Road in Newquay, services towards Newquay will be on diversion from the 4th September 2026.

Buses leaving Newquay are unaffected.

Buses will be unable to serve the stop at Newquay Railway Station or Tolcarne Beach (towards Newquay).

Your closest alternative stops are on Mount Wise or at Kilbirnie Hotel / opposite Barrowfield Hotel

Services 59, 85, 87, 88, 93, 277 towards Newquay Bus Station will additionally be unable to serve stops at Trenance Gardens, Newquay Zoo, Hilgrove Road or Barrowfield Hotel

To travel into Newquay from these stops, please use the stop on the other side of the road and use diverted services 21, 21A, 56, 91, 92, 92A, 92B, 92S, 93A, 93T

Buses will divert via Trenance Road.

Low hanging branches within Allet affecting service 85

30th Aug 2026 onwards

We are sorry to inform you that due to low hanging branches we are unable to use the the Allet cuthrough road. Instead buses shall divert via the B3284 in both directions. The stops called Springfield Farm within Allet cannot be served and instead your nearest stop shall be Allet Five Acres. We apologise for any inconvenience caused but this issue is out of our control.

304, 315 - Road Closure - Old School, Mount Hawke

27th Jul 2026 - 2nd Sep 2026

Due to a road closure at Old School in Mount Hawke, from 27/07/2026 to 02/09/2026, services 304 and 315 will be unable to serve the stops at Old School or Londis in Mount Hawke.

Buses will divert on Highfield Road.

Please use alternative stops at Henley Drive, Church Road or the Church.
